Why would we do such a thing? The answer is simple. Venues look for clips to help market shows and theatres are increasingly looking for video clips before deciding to even talk to producers like ourselves. In a world of virtual marketing, reasonably produced clips are essential. The trick now is to create "reasonably produced clips".
Just watched a DVD about Dan Crawford, the late artistic director and founder of the Kings Head in London. Now there was a man who had a dream which he realised, sometimes against all the odds. Featured in the DVD was Syd Golder, another maverick who bucked the odds and battled against the tide. The only problem with both Dan and Syd was that both set the standard which yours truely has struggled to maintain. Thanks men, I could have done with a simplier life lol!
