I am currently stage managing Jonathan Brown's The Last Lunch which is a large cast play which is heading to the Brighton Fringe later this month. A play which is fast paced in places bordering on farce, the play also packs an emotional punch which makes for a great show.
Apart from helping to set the show up, my main role is to operate the lights and sound cues of which there are about forty in total. Without being nerdy, most of the cues are well spaced out - but there generally a couple of scenes where the old fingers need to be on form. Luckily last night was a good 'un.
Indeed, the whole production went down a storm with a packed Havant audience which proves the point that local venues can put on new and challenging work and still fill the house.
