Next stop, a ferry down the Mersey and across to Belfast for the beginning of a 14 venue Ireland tour ending on the weekend that the Beatles played Dublin and Belfast 50 years ago.
Our first two gigs are this Thu/Fri in Cork then next week Kerry. We will get a bit of time off in Ireland but that time will be used in pushing media and audiences. The recession in the UK has deflated audiences there and we need to make sure the same thing doesn't happen in Ireland. Generally speaking, support for theatre in Ireland is stronger than the UK but we cannot afford to take that support for granted.
The bulk of our Ireland tour will be in the Republic but we do have a couple of Belfast gigs which will give our friends in Belfast (who supported our work at the Devenish Complex during the first half of the year) a chance to catch the show and we will aldo be able to straddle both sides of the border.
Tickets and booking information for all our shows are on www.irish-theatre.com.
