Canary O’Dell has been brutally murdered. A room full of guests, one of whom is the murderer. Can Inspector Markham solve the mystery? Can Canary’s sister, Miss Mary O’Dell, assist Markham with her enquiries?
Welcome to Death of a Canary, a classic murder mystery play. The way the play is performed is simple. A murder is committed, actors interrogate suspects, the murderer is unmasked. All guests have to do is guess the murderer’s identity and work out how the killing occurred. Oh, and they also have to cast themselves as suspects, reading from prepared scripts!
Our first performance of Canary is on the 22 November at the Granvue Hotel, Omeath.
Getting back to Beatle Mal, we do have a bit of marketing to do despite good media coverage so far. Tomorrow Nik's going to be interviewed on RTE Radio's flagship arts programme Arena and on Saturday he's going to be on Radio Ulster. All we need now is a bit of TV cover and features in both the Herals (Dublin) and Telegraph (Belfast).
